Forza Motorsport 7 Hits The Showroom – E3 2017

Forza Motorsport 7 Hits The Showroom – E3 2017

Of all the games that Microsoft could have chosen to take the pole position of their Xbox One X push, it’s probably the most logical that they gave the nod to Forza Motorsport 7.

The game made its debut immediately following the reveal of the Xbox One X during Microsoft’s E3 2017 press event, helping to solidify the case as to why this machine is the most powerful console ever developed.

Forza Motorsport 7 looked every bit the technological marvel one would expect of a flagship racing game running on the new Xbox iteration. The frame rate was locked in at a blistering 60fps, the details of every aspect of the cars shown was almost too good to be true, and atmospheric effects like evening sunlight breaking through the clouds proved to be breath taking.

Forza Motorsport 7 also showcased a new mountain pass track, as well as fantastic weather effects. Rain sloshed across windshields while water pooled by the side of a given track exploded from its resting place when disrupted by the introduction of a screeching tire.

In short, it all looked really good.

The folks at Turn 10 Studios also announced a new 6 year partnership with car manufacturer Porsche, which will allow a number of the prestigious vehicles entry into the hallowed lineup expected in Forza Motorsport 7.  It’s not clear though, whether or not the partnership grants exclusivity between Porsche and the Forza series, or if it’s an open relationship.

Feast your eyes on the first footage of Forza Motorsport 7 running in all of its glory on the Xbox One X, and then get ready to strap yourself into the driver’s seat when the game launches on October 3rd, 2017.
