We now know “who’s next” for Mortal Kombat X.
A teaser video for the upcoming Kombat Pack 2 was leaked late Thursday afternoon, ahead of a planned world-wide reveal this evening at the Video Game Awards show by series creator, Ed Boon.
The four new kombatants ready to enter the Mortal Kombat X arena are:
- Leatherface – The iconic villain from the Texas Chainsaw Massacre.
- Xenomorph – The terrifying face of Aliens
- Bo’ Rai Cho – A former MK Kombatant who utilizes a Drunken Master style of fighting.
- Tri-Borg – an intriguing combination of Mortal Kombat cyborgs, Cyrax, Sektor, and Robot Smoke.
All four of the new characters for Mortal Kombat X will be available in the first quarter of 2016. Pricing details have not been announced yet.

Ok there is just too much ridiculous shit going on here. After careful consideration, I’m going on record and calling BULLSHIT on this whole thing. Very funny Ed. Now change out of those Spidey undies, get your finger out of your nose, clean off all that peanut butter, and be straight with us.
A Baraka Xenomorph is horrifying and to be honest, they’re such incredible killing machines in the movies, it seems like it would be kind of an unfair character to play as.

Is it just me or do the renders for Bo Rai Cho and Leatherface look significantly substandard compared to the rest of MKX?
WAIT A DAMN MINUTE….Cyber-Smoke doesn’t even exist in this timeline! Wtf!? Something weird is going on here…it’s not even like the non-existence of Cyber-Smoke is some tiny plot point only known to the most hardcore fans. MKX clearly shows us that Smoke’s current status is as an undead wraith in the service of Quan Chi.
The Xenomorph I can maybe understand due to Predator’s inclusion, but Bo Rai Cho has got to me one of the most hated characters in MK canon. And how interesting can Leatherface really be? Won’t he be a little too much like a Jason clone…?
Methinks Boon is playing a trick on us.
