Alien Carnage – PC
Alien Carnage is one of the more obscure titles in Apogee Software’s publishing library, and for good reason. With relatively sedate gameplay and a confused identity not helped by the seemingly random choice to name the heroic protagonist “Halloween Harry” (seriously?), this third-party title failed to cash in on the popularity of such titles as Duke Nukem II. Is it better than we’ve given it credit for, or was this game out almost out of fuel to begin with?

A lot of these games are just as great and influential as the last article’s list. Some, not so much… They were important games in 1987 regardless, so I’m including them here. Just because a title was popular and remembered with nostalgia doesn’t mean it was actually influential, or even good for that matter.
