Microsoft Announces X018 Event for November
During Tuesday’s monthly Inside Xbox stream, Microsoft announced that they will be holding a massive event in Mexico City this November.
X018, “a celebration of all things Xbox”, will take place November 10 – 11 and will feature a number of news items and “surprises” from the company.
While there are no solid leads on what may be announced at X018, a sharp-eyed ResetEra poster noted that Xbox head Phil Spencer remarked that previous X0 events featured many incredibly important announcements, such as Microsoft’s acquisition of Rare.
With their final major first-party game for 2018, Forza Horizon 4, scheduled to release in early October, it will be well worth keeping an eye out for the news coming from X018.
We already know that Microsoft has been busy purchasing a number of studios including Ninja Theory, the group behind 2017’s critically acclaimed Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice. Plus, as we have documented before, Microsoft is also knee-deep into development of their next generation family of consoles, currently code named Scarlett.
We’ll just have to wait until X018 in November to find out what Microsoft has up their sleeve.
The X018 live stream will take place November 10th, 2018 at 3PM CST. NerdBacon will carry full coverage and reactions to the event as it occurs.
