OlliOlli set for March release on Xbox One, Wii U and 3DS

by Cloud3514

Curve Digital has announced that logothe Xbox One, Wii U and 3DS versions of 2-D skateboarding game OlliOlli will be released mid-March. While the exact dates have not been announced, all three versions of the game will be released in the same week.

OlliOlli was originally developed by Roll7 and published by Devolver Digital, but the Xbox One, Wii U and 3DS ports are being handled by Curve Digital.

“We’re really glad that Xbox and Nintendo players finally have a version of OlliOlli to call their own,” said Simon Bennett of Roll7, “We’ve always seen OlliOlli as a game for everyone and with Curve’s versions, now it totally can be.”

OlliOlli is a 2-D skateboarding game with a very simple control scheme that uses one analogue stick, one face button and two shoulder buttons. The focus of the game is to perform tricks to fulfill five achievements in each level. According to Curve Digital, there are 50 levels and over 120 tricks to perform.shot6

The previous versions of the game were released to much praise with Destructoid calling the game a masterpiece. The PlayStation Vita version currently holds a 79 Metacritic average with the vast majority of reviews being positive.

OlliOlli was originally released on PlayStation Vita in January last year, with the PC version following in July and the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 versions in August. Roll7 is currently working on OlliOlli 2: Welcome to Olliwood.
