OlliOlli announced for 3DS, Wii U, and Xbox One

2D skateboarding game OlliOlli is set for Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo Wii U and Xbox One early in 2015, according to publisher Curve Digital.

Originally developed and published by London-based studio Roll7 for the PlayStation Vita, OlliOlli features a simple control scheme of one face button, two shoulder buttons and one analog stick. The goal is to perform trick combos while landing as precisely as possible, as poor landings award players with fewer points than the same tricks would award with a solid landing.

According to Curve Digital, the game features 100 levels and over 120 tricks to perform.

Roll7 is currently working on a sequel to OlliOlli, OlliOlli 2: Welcome to Olliwood, which is planned for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita, as well as Not a Hero, a 2D action game about a man hired by a rabbit mayoral candidate to stop crime, which is set for Steam, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita.

OlliOlli enjoys a Metacritic rating of 80. Eurogamer’s Simon Parkin praised it as, “Elegant, understated and yet with the capacity for wild showboating.”

OlliOlli is currently available for PC and all current PlayStation platforms. Otherwise, check out our reviews of Curve Digital’s The Swapper and Stealth Inc. 2: A Game of Clones.
