Sonic 3D Blast – Sega Saturn
With Sonic’s first foray into the 3D world being a cancelled title called Sonic X-Treme, Sonic Team was forced to pull out some quick moves and what moves faster than 2 experienced teams working together? Sonic Team paired up with Traveller’s Tales to create the game Sonic 3D Blast which was simultaneously released on the Genesis and Saturn.
Sonic 3D Blast on the Saturn features a variety of three dimensional levels where Sonic must save the captured Flickies from Flicky Island. With an abundance of colors, beautifully mapped out level structures, and considerable challenges, Sonic 3D Blast is a unique experience in the Sonic franchise.

Clay Fighter – Genesis
Clay Fighter is a game for Nostalgia’s sake only. It was fun upon its initial release, but over time has become cumbersome and awkward. If you liked it as a kid, play it for nostalgia’s sake. Otherwise, skip it.
-
Two Crude Dudes – Genesis
Two Crude Dudes makes just as good a time capsule as it does a side-scrolling beat ’em up game. Simple and cartoonish graphics make the perfect setting for a pair of muscle bound, Mohawk sporting guys to kick some tail. A bit repetitive, but a ton of fun.
-
Flicky – Genesis
In the genre of platformers, it’s no question who had the best games on the Genesis. However, Flicky proves to be fun and engaging in its own right. It would have benefited from a graphical upgrade, but the gameplay and charming graphics are worth checking out.

Socket – Sega Genesis
Socket had potential but its poor level design, flawed controls and shameless similarities to the Sonic the Hedgehog games drag it down. It’s good for about an hour of time killing, but not much more.

Surgical Strike – Sega CD
Surgical Strike is one of many FMV games that failed to make the genre a thing. While not the worst of the bunch, poor video quality and repetitive game play are enough to scare off anyone who doesn’t already love games like this.
