The Apogee Shareware Disc – PC
Boy, it’s that time, isn’t it? After reviewing every single game I remembered from my old shareware disc, I take a look at the entire Apogee Shareware Disc itself and tell how I feel it worked both as a series of fun games and as a marketing tool! With first acts from many graphically-appealing and fun to play run-and-gun, first-person shooter, and flight sim titles, the disc may be long gone, but its memory definitely lives on!

Wolfenstein 3D – PC
For almost everyone outside of Germany, Wolfenstein 3D was an explosive introduction to what many of us would regard as the proper first-person shooter genre. Back then, all you needed was a few guns, a bunch of Nazis, and hidden rooms behind push-walls. But does this dusty relic still cut to the core like granddad’s serrated WWII combat knife? Get psyched.
