I know it’s a first-person shooter, and the Doom 3: BFG Edition made some changes, but was it ever really meant to fill a gamer with the pump of adrenaline or just to try and spook them into turning up their monitor’s brightness? I look into this rehashed official third installment prequel (???) to see why this installment of id’s flagship series missed the boat on being truly successful.
