Before Kingdom Hearts took on the PlayStation where blending and integrating characters from multiple developers and resources was the norm, this was one of the best titles in the Capcom/Disney union. Chip ‘n Dale Rescue Rangers highlights both the Disney Afternoon and Capcom’s solid propensity for brilliance in the Platformer medium while at once ensuring that when one’s head hits the pillow at night, one does so realizing that the game is still afoot.

Toy Commander – Dreamcast
When Andy gets a new set of Army toys, he tosses the old ones to the side to be forgotten. You play as the Army toys and perform a series of missions in each room to conquer the house. Are you tough enough to take down Huggy Bear and his plush crew?

Metroid II: Return of Samus – Game Boy
Amongst the discussion between the original NES game and the SNES Super Metroid, the series’ second installment, a Game Boy exclusive, is often overlooked. Metroid II: Return of Samus was polarizing during its day and remains a point of contention. For instance I enjoy the many gameplay mechanics and complex layout, but I also find the limited graphics tiresome and dated. Good or bad? You’ll have to decide for yourself.

Strategy X – Atari 2600
With one of the hottest-looking tanks available on the Atari 2600, smooth-scrolling scenery and action that alternates the need for frenetic and calculated reactions, you might think ‘Strategy X’ really brings the goods. Unfortunately, for everything Konami did right with this one, gamers may feel less like going back in for one more try and more like they’re being forced to push a boulder up a hill. Repeatedly. Forever.
