UGH this is getting out of hand! I’m all about it and shit but they’re seriously taking advantage of us gamers. C’mon… How much friggin money are they making on us?? Especially once they release 3 identical Yoshi amiibo with different colors? Talk about profit.
Don’t forget about the upcoming cards and the dual Skylander/Amiibos. I’m still waiting on something more concrete from Nintendo before adding them to the list.
But I agree. Seeing all those Animal Crossing figures has gotten me a little worried about the future of Amiibo….obviously this is a technology that they’re invested in so I doubt it’ll slow down any time soon, but hitting 50+ Amiibo in a year is a little crazy! I would love to at least have the entire SSB series since I have so many so far, but I’m ever so slightly skeptical about the future.
Good news is that the bubble seems to be bursting somewhat on the outrageous cost of these guys. There was a time when guys like Villager, Marth, Captain Falcon, Little Mac, etc. were fetching between $70 and $100. Glad that’s over at least.
I will slaughter for a Slider this Holiday.
With the SSB4 cast pretty much wrapped up, I’m looking forward to a Ryu before too long!
