Spawn to spawn in Injustice 2?

Spawn to spawn in Injustice 2?

There is some intriguing evidence mounting that suggest that comic book icon Spawn will be making a guest

Please God, let this be true!

appearance in the upcoming DC-themed brawler, Injustice 2.

A voice acting credit for actor Michael Jai White has popped up among the Injustice 2 cast and crew credits on

the game’s IMDB website.

This appearance follows Injustice and Mortal Kombat series creator Ed Boon polling fans via Twitter on what famous comic book characters they’s like to see as guest stars in the game.

Spawn won overwhelmingly with fans – beating out Hellboy, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, and the terrifying killing machine from the future: the Terminator.

Sharp-eyed internet sleuths will notice another guest character from Boon’s other series, Mortal Kombat is also listed on the IMDB page. Icy ninja Sub-Zero is listed as being voiced by actor Steve Blum, who previously played the part in 2014’s, Mortal Kombat X.

Michael Jai White is no stranger to the character Spawn. The veteran actor gave life to the character in 1997’s big-screen adaptation of the comic book series.

For those unfamiliar – Injustice 2 is the sequel to the 2013 fighting game, Injustice: Gods Among Us. The title featured a number of characters such as; Batman and Superman from the DC comics roster of heroes. The game’s combat engine was a modified version of the same engine that powered 2011’s fantastic Mortal Kombat reboot.

The addition of Spawn as part of the Injustice 2 cast has not been officially been confirmed yet by Boon, or NetherRealm Studios, who is producing the project; so we’ll have to see whether or not this ends up as being true, or a cruel hoax.

Boon is currently polling his Twitter followers on whether or not they would like to see characters from The Watchmen join the Injustice 2 cast.

Injustice 2 is slated for release in 2017.
