Uncharted 4 in the Works – E3 2014
Nathan Drake is back, my friends!
It’s been three years since Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception and now Sony’s gearing up to release Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End. Sony closed their E3 press conference with an in-engine trailer of Uncharted 4 that was captured using a Sony PlayStation 4.
Following the release of the trailer, Naughty Dog went on to describe the game: “Several years after his last adventure, retired fortune hunter, Nathan Drake, is forced back into the world of thieves. With the stakes much more personal, Drake embarks on a globe-trotting journey in pursuit of a historical conspiracy behind a fabled pirate treasure. His greatest adventure will test his physical limits, his resolve, and ultimately what he’s willing to sacrifice to save the ones he loves.”
The announcement of Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is bittersweet. It’s always great to get a new Uncharted game but the title suggests an ominous ending for the series. Nolan North, the voice behind Nathan Drake, told IGN that “If this is the last one indeed, and I believe it’s the last one – nothing’s confirmed, but I believe it’s the last one Naughty Dog wants to do.”
Whether it is the last game in the series or not, it should make for a hell of a game.
Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is expected to release sometime in 2015. As of right now, Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End will only be available for Sony PlayStation 4. Pre-orders for the game are available now.
