Telltale Games’ Tease! – E3 2016
During the IGN Live E3 coverage stream, Telltale Games’ developers stopped by to discuss what is next for the company.
The first thing they teased was their new upcoming Batman game! Batman will run on an upgraded version of Telltale’s usual game engine and will begin releasing later this summer. Telltale Games released a few images showcasing the new Batman game, and the images included famous icons like the Wayne Manor, the Batmobile, Bruce Wayne in and out of costume, and even Catwoman! Telltale Games have also announced that the cast includes Troy Baker (The Last of Us) as Batman, Laura Bailey (Tales from the Borderlands) as Selina Kyle, Travis Willingham (Ratchet & Clank) as Harvey Dent, Erin Yvette (Oxenfree) as Vicki Vale, Enn Reitel (Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots) as Alfred Pennyworth, Murphy Guyer (Red Dead Redemption) as Lieutenant James Gordon, and Richard McGonagle (Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End) as Carmine Falcone.
Kevin Bruner, the CEO of Telltale Games, had this to say about Batman:\
“We’ve been hard at work at Telltale creating an all-new iteration of the iconic Batman story that puts players in the suit of billionaire Bruce Wayne, just as much as it will put them behind the mask, deciding how to carefully navigate a complex drama, rich with action, crime, corruption, and villainy lurking around every corner of Gotham City. The complex life and fractured psyche of Bruce Wayne has lent itself to becoming a bold evolution of the signature ‘Tellltale’ role-playing experience, and we couldn’t be more excited as we prepare to debut the series to players across the world this summer.”
Probably the biggest tease was the new trailer for The Walking Dead! In the intense few second footage, a teenage Clementine returns, albeit missing one of her fingers. The trailer shows that she has gotten better at using a firearm, something she was originally very scared to do. Telltale Games’ also stated that you will be able to play the third season of The Walking Dead even if you have not played the former, but if you have played the former, your saved games will once again sync to tailor your experience. The third season of The Walking Dead will release this fall. You can see the trailer below!
