During a short sit down with Twitch’s E3 coverage team, Square Enix rolled out several new videos regarding the upcoming Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, including one for their new game mode entitled Breach.

According to the rather informative reveal trailer, Breach is separate from the main game with its own unique story set in 2029. The player stars as a hacker named Ripper who breaches the servers of the fictional Palisade company.

The “breach” gameplay takes place completely in virtual reality and offers an interesting blend of arcade shooting, puzzles, and RPG-like character building. Breach will also allow players to send in-game challenges to friends as well as players from all around the world.
