Sonic Fox Prevails At Evo 2016 Mortal Kombat XL Grand Finals

Sonic Fox was actually worried at Evo 2016‘s Mortal Kombat XL Grand Finals

Sunday’s Evo 2016 finals opened with the top 8 for Mortal Kombat XL.

It looked like it would be smooth sailing for the returning champion, Sonic Fox.

Sonic went 3 – 0 in the winner’s bracket, performing at a level that resembled a graceful ballet, to earn a spot in the Evo 2016 grand finals.

However, a gutsy performance from Tekkenmaster, fighting his way back through loser’s brackets, kept the young prodigy on his toes.

Tekkenmaster frustrated Fox with a brutally tough Kotal Kahn – knocking Fox back to loser’s, and resetting the brackets in the process.

After a pivotal round, a visibly concerned Fox removed his trademark blue fox plushy hat, showing a level of seriousness that he simply hadn’t had to show in the past.

In the end, Fox persevered, using multiple characters to finally fell Tekkenmaster 3 games to 1 in loser’s, to claim the Evo 2016 Mortal Kombat XL crown.
