Rainbow Six: Siege Receives its Release Orders

Rainbow Six: Siege Receives its Release Orders

Rainbow Six: Siege, the highly anticipated tactical shooter from UbiSoft has finally received a release date of October 13th 2015, according to a short teaser trailer that was released courtesy of the Major Nelson Blog.

Rainbow Six: Siege features a new style of operation, naturally entitled Siege. According to an accompanying UbiSoft press release, Siege will allow “enemies to transform their environments modern strongholds while Rainbow Six teams lead the assault to breach the enemy’s position.” Players will be able to build their team from a selection of 20 different “operators”, each with their own set of skills that will need to be utilized in order to complete missions.

Rainbow Six: Siege was first revealed as part of UbiSoft’s 2014 E3 Press event and marks the first game in the Rainbow Six franchise since 2008’s Rainbow Six: Vegas 2.

UbiSoft had previously announced another game for the franchise at the end of 2011, entitled Rainbow Six: Patriots, however that game was cancelled and later replaced with the development of Rainbow Six: Siege.

UbiSoft will likely devote a fair amount of time to showcase Rainbow Six: Siege at its upcoming 2015 E3 press conference, which is scheduled to take place on Monday June 15th at 4pm EDT.

Rainbow Six: Siege will be available October 13th on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

You can learn more at UbiSoft’s official Rainbow Six: Siege website.
