Nintendo Switch Debuts On The Tonight Show

Nintendo Switch Debuts On The Tonight Show

Nintendo of America President, Reggie Fils Aime joined the host of the Tonight Show, Jimmy Fallon Wednesday evening to showcase Nintendo’s upcoming console, the Nintendo Switch.

A clearly exuberant Fallon was invited check out the soon-to-be-released hybrid console first-hand, as well as demo one of the most hotly anticipated releases for the Nintendo Switch – The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

This appearance marks the first time an actual Nintendo Switch demonstration has been shown in public.

Aime and Fallon (who you can tell genuinely loves video games, and was really excited for the opportunity to try out the system) showed the console fully running the Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild on a traditional television, and on the Switch’s built-in screen.

The duo kicked off the segment by demonstrating the upcoming iOS game, Super Mario Run, which will be released for Apple devices at the end of this week. The pressure was high for Fallon because sitting in the New York studio audience watching him first-hand, was the creator of Mario himself: Shigeru Miyamoto.

Nintendo will be having a big blow-out event on January 12th to announce the release date for the Nintendo Switch, its price, and the expected lineup of games.

NerdBacon will of course be all over that like butter on a hot roll.
