Final Fantasy VII’s Cloud Strife Is Ready To Beat Up Mario in Super Smash Bros.

Final Fantasy VII’s Cloud Strife Is Ready To Beat Up Mario in Super Smash Bros.

Nintendo’s latest Nintendo Direct presentation saved its most epic, bomb-shell announcement for last.

Cloud Strife, the lead character from Squaresoft’s immensely popular Final Fantasy VII will be the latest warrior to join the roster of Super Smash Bros. for the Nintendo Wii U and Nintendo 3DS!

The reveal trailer shows Cloud performing a plethora of signature moves, including his overdrive Omnislash (in a nice recreation of the last scene of Final Fantasy VII) as well as a number of summon moves.

Cloud Strife will also bring along a stage centered in Final Fantasy VII’s largest city, Midgar.

The announcement of Cloud’s impending arrival on the Super Smash Bros. scene was earth-shattering enough that it temporarily brought down popular gaming forum, Neogaf, whose last notable outage was during Sony’s 2015 E3 conference in which Final Fantasy VII Remake and Shenmue III were announced.

In addition, Nintendo teased a Super Smash Bros.-centric Nintendo Direct presentation for some time in December.

Check out the trailer for Cloud’s arrival in Super Smash Bros. below.

I don’t think we have to ask about how excited you are as a Smash fan for the arrival of Cloud Strife in Super Smash Bros, so instead we ask you to post your shouts of joy in our elated comments section below.
