Zelda II: The Adventure of Link – NES
Zelda II The Adventure of Link is typically the recipient of much undeserved criticism. Undue censure is bound to target anything that stands out from the crowd, and with that said it only makes sense that Zelda II would find itself in the crosshairs of the public eye. At the time, The Legend of Zelda had recently graced the Nintendo Entertainment System with substantial praise, so expectations were high. When Nintendo gave us something new and different, reactions were mixed. Some adored this fresh entry in the series, some reviled it. Whatever stance you take on the Zelda II debate, ZB would like a moment of your attention in order to discuss the finer points of Zelda II The Adventure of Link.

Perhaps you’ve imagined the pieces coming to life, engaging in real-time combat as your less-than-gifted opponent stews in deep thought over his or her next move. Well, if that’s the case, Interplay grants your wish with Battle Chess! In this review Nerd Bacon’s ZB plays one of the lesser versions of this stunning title and informs you why you’d be better off playing the real game…against a tree stump.

Nerd Bacon Celebrates Retroary! (Retro + February = Retroary)
When NerdBerry and The Cubist first started NerdBacon.com, it was out of a love for / obsession with the video games from our childhood, namely those of the late 8-, 16-, and early 32/64-bit eras.
