Super Mario Land – Game Boy
We’ve been covering a lot of Wario lately, haven’t we? From his very first appearance in Super Mario Land 2 to Wario Land 4, and counting. But there’s something missing. A piece that hasn’t been covered yet. With mounting pressure to review sequels back in August, Nerd Bacon’s ZB skipped over the first Mario Land in favor of Super Mario Land 2. Now it’s time to finally tackle a game he’s been anxious to work on since before Nerd Bacon celebrated its two-year anniversary. That’s right folks, it’s Super Mario Land for Game Boy.
Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash – Wii U
Mario’s ventures into the world of tennis have always been one of his more well-respected spin-offs, so it would make sense to expect great things with the release of Mario Tennis: Ultra Smash for the Wii U. However, while the game looks beautiful, it’s criminally shy of engaging content.

Mario is Missing! – SNES
Mario is Missing!, one of a handful of educational Mario games released in the early 90’s, features Luigi as the main protagonist for the first time in the series. It may not be much of a “game,” but if you’re in the fourth or fifth grade and need to learn a few things about history and geography, there are certainly worse ways to go about it!
Super Princess Peach – DS
Super Princess Peach features our favorite damsel in distress in her first – and so far only – starring role. It may not be the next Luigi’s Mansion or Yoshi’s Island, but Super Princess Peach is endearing and enjoyable in its own way.
