Actually, now that I think about it, DOES Doom 3 count as an action game? I know it’s a first-person shooter, and the Doom 3: BFG Edition made some changes, but was it ever really meant to fill a gamer with the pump of adrenaline or just to try and spook them into turning up their monitor’s brightness? I look into this rehashed official third installment prequel (???) to see why this installment of id’s flagship series missed the boat on being truly successful.

An original title from Arkane Studios, this stealth adventure explores the betrayal of Empress Jassamine and the fall of guardian Corvo. As we murder our way to avenge the royal family, we learn about the corruption of the government and just how far people will go for the ability to wield power.
