Sometimes, you can pinpoint the moment when you realized that your favorite console was going to be phased out. For me, it was the terrible port of Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2. With gamebreaking bugs shipped in the box and corners cut wherever the developers could get away with it, it was the moment when I realized the PS2 was no longer worth every company’s best efforts to program for. Zelda II The Adventure of Link is typically the recipient of much undeserved criticism. Undue censure is bound to target anything that stands out from the crowd, and with that said it only makes sense that Zelda II would find itself in the crosshairs of the public eye. At the time, The Legend of Zelda had recently graced the Nintendo Entertainment System with substantial praise, so expectations were high. Arcania: Gothic 4 – PC

Arcania: Gothic 4 is an action role-playing game that tells of one man’s quest for vengeance. The simplified mechanics may alienate fans of the series’ earlier iterations, but those willing to give it a fair try may find it to be a pretty decent game, if a little obscure by today’s standards.
