Sony to Broadcast E3 2015 Press Conference in Movie Theaters.
The anticipation for this year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) is continuing to build and today Sony added a little more fuel to the proverbial fire by announcing that they will be screening their E3 2015 press conference in movie theaters.
“This year I’m happy to announce that the PlayStation E3 Experience will return on Monday, June 15.” Said a post by host Geoff Keighly on the official U.S. PlayStation Blog.
The screening, which will be free to the public, will be shown in theaters throughout the U.S. and Canada, with Sony promising that there will be at least one theater in every state showing the E3 2015 broadcast. While Sony has not yet disclosed the exact number or the locations of the E3 2015 screening, they did say that the event would be expanded by 150% over the amount of theaters in which last year’s press conference was shown. Last year, Sony’s E3 press event was shown in 50 theaters across the nation, so a little quick math would place this year’s event in 125 cinema houses.
Tickets will be free to the public and will be available for reservation starting on May 27th at Sony’s E3 Experience website. Sony also promised a few special gifts, as well as a “special PlayStation surprise” for those attending the special events.
Sony’s E3 2015 press conference will take place June 15th at 9pm EDT. NerdBacon also has a complete listing of all the E3 2015 press events and conferences right here.
