Skull & Bones Is The Pirate Game We All Wanted – E3 2017

Skull & Bones Is The Pirate Game We All Wanted – E3 2017

Ubisoft fired a clear warning shot across the bow of other upcoming pirate-themed games, with their reveal of Skull & Bones, during their E3 2017 presentation Monday afternoon.

Skull & Bones takes the elements of sea faring that we all loved in Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, and expand them into a tactical pirate simulator.

Sail the seas in a massive open world, challenging other pirate factions for dominance, as you hunt for riches and try to top the pirate food chain.

Players will have to build their fleet, recruit their crew, and of course, customize their ship if they want to survive on the high seas.

While there will be single modes available, the real meat of Skull & Bones will lie in its robust multiplayer offerings. One of the modes hinted at during the Ubisoft conference was a 5-on-5 loot hunt. Two 5 member crews jockeyed against each other in an impressive demonstration of naval combat.

Take a look at the game play demonstration from Ubisoft’s E3 2017 event, and then make sure to sign up to participate in the online beta at the official website.

While Skull & Bones has already raided our imaginations and “most wanted” lists, this game still has a long journey ahead of it. Ubisoft expects the game to release in the fall of 2018.

Are you ready to live the life of a pirate in Skull & Bones? Or will you live your life as a lily-livered land lubber? Let us know in the comments section below.
