Your dreams are closer to being invaded, because the Psychonauts are coming back…maybe.
Double Fine Games head, Tim Schafer has announced a new crowd funding effort for Psychonauts 2, at the 2015 Video Games Awards show.
The Psychonauts 2 crowdfunding campaign is looking for $3.3 million in funding by January 7th, 2016.
The original Psychonauts was a critically acclaimed, 3D platformer that came out in 2005 on PC, and in 2006 on the Xbox and PlayStation 2. Despite receiving numerous accolades, including EuroGamer’s Game of the Year Award in 2005, sales of Psychonauts never matched the high praise the game received.
Psychonauts has still maintained a loyal fan-base that has clamored for a sequel.
