Final Fantasy II deserves credit for having to follow in the footsteps of a giant. The developers tried new things to keep it fresh, but the effort resulted in frustrating gameplay that overshadows the game’s more enjoyable moments. If you’re a fan of the franchise, give it a shot.

Mortal Kombat X – Android
Mobile apps – especially those offered as a tie-in to existing media – can be a real hit or miss…mostly a miss. However, Mortal Kombat X does a pretty decent job of both relating to the console port and establishing its own identity.
