Chuck Rock – Sega CD
Chuck Rock came out at a time when platformers were everywhere and it has everything you want in the genre. The music is especially enjoyable, and while nothing else stands out as being awesome, it has nothing wrong with it either.

Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon – 3DS
For a sequel that took 13 years to make, Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon is just ok. Graphics and environments add too lot of the charm, but the game play becomes more of the same after a while.

Will 2014 bring the next big thing to console gaming?
Its so nice to have options. While Microsoft and Sony are currently dominating the market in video games, there’s another third party threat looming on the horizon, and its name is Steam.
-
Super Magnetic Neo – Dreamcast
Never before has a game this fun been this frustrating. Super Magnetic Neo is about as original as they come, but set a lot of time aside to master the controls.

PlayStation 4 versus Xbox One – Round 1: Pre-Release
This modern day console wars may be even closer than that of Nintendo versus Sega. Both the XBox One and the PS4 have the advantages and disadvantages, but the edge has to go to the PS4.

Sega Swirl – PC, Sega Dreamcast
Sega Swirl is a good way to stretch the brain muscles, but not great for hours of binge gaming.
-
Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective – TurboGrafx CD
Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective does a good job of piecing together mysteries worthy of its namesake, but the process of solving them can be mind numbing and frustrating. Solving each case is enjoyable, but the same result can be achieved by process of elimination. A fun game if you have nothing better.

Torchlight II – PC
If you like Torchlight or RPGs in general, you’ll love this game. EVerything from the battles system to the characters to the co-op is a seamlessly entertaining masterpiece.
-
Star Trek Online – PC
A Star Trek MMO seems like an ideal game. The mechanics, graphics, and space combat provide hours of entertainment for Star Trek fans and non-fans alike. It’s too bad that planetside combat couldn’t have gotten more attention.

Is Steam Challenging Console Gaming?
We all have a soft spot for consoles, but there’s no denying that Steam is gaining some serious momentum. Sony and Microsoft better watch their virtual backs.

Atari Jaguar CD
Nerd Bacon co-founder “The Cubist” breaks down one of video gaming history’s oddest add-ons in the Atari Jaguar CD. The Atari Jaguar was a commercial failure so Atari hoped to boost sales and popularity by getting on board with the most current trend in gaming: CD technology. But the Jaguar CD would be Atari’s final breath as they called it quits shortly after. Read on for more information on this obscure piece of hardware.

Baldies – Atari Jaguar CD
If there’s one game to play for the Jaguar CD, it’s Baldies, but only by comparison. Gameplay is fun, but can be complicated to master. Music and graphics are decent, but not great enough to seek out this game if you can’t get it easily.
-
Primal Rage – Atari Jaguar CD
Primal Rage is a fun concept with a decent execution. Graphics on the Jaguar CD can be nice, but the lower frame rate and reduced sprites bring down the fun level. I recommend another port of this one.

Gone are the days when we set inches from our televisions. Adding an extra 6 feet to your controller with the Dreamcast Extension Cable makes for an even better gaming experience.
