I know that I have harped on this a lot over the course of my tenure at Nerd Bacon, but I adored the 2013 Tomb Raider reboot. It was a fantastic reintroduction of an iconic series that, for the first time, made me a fan of Tomb Raider.

Lara Croft is set to continue her adventures later this year with Rise of the Tomb Raider on Xbox One, and today we are finally getting to see some of the first screens from this anticipated sequel.

The new shots showcase Lara’s upcoming trek through Siberia, as well as one shot in a warmer, desert area in Rise of the Tomb Raider.

Game Informer magazine has also been running a month-long special on Rise of the Tomb Raider leading up to their March issue. So be sure to check out their coverage here.

No release date has been set as of yet for Rise of the Tomb Raider. There has also been some controversy over whether or not the title will be exclusive to Xbox One, which we have covered here and here.
