Guitar Hero is Making A Comeback With Guitar Hero Live – E3 2015
Activision announced this week at E3 that the Guitar Hero franchise would be returning to the gaming world with Guitar Hero Live.
Guitar Hero Live will be in a way very similar to the franchise it was in the past but it will also innovate itself. The new Guitar Hero Live will feature a redesigned guitar that has 6 buttons in a 3 button layout to simulate chord structures on a real guitar. The new guitar’s layout will supposedly make the game easier for beginners as well as harder for experts in the advanced modes. Unfortunately, guitars from past Guitar Hero games will not be backwards compatible with Guitar Hero Live. That being said Activision is selling a bundle for the game and a guitar for $100 or the game and two guitars for $150.
With the updated guitar, Guitar Hero Live will have a fully updated playlist with old favorites as well as new favorites. Here’s the current list of songs on the new game but Activision claims that there will be hundreds of tracks come day one. Guitar Hero Live will have a few different game modes. One mode you can play is Guitar Hero Live where you play the traditional guitar hero game with the added addition of a live audience reacting to your mediocrity. Another game mode is Guitar Hero TV where you play to the background of actual music videos.
Don’t have a console? That’s cool. Guitar Hero Live is confirmed to be compatible with select mobile devices, making so that you don’t even need a console to rock out. The “select mobile devices” have not been confirmed just yet, but will be released soon according to Activision.
Guitar Hero Live will be released for all consoles platforms old and new gen (Yes you too, Wii U) on October 20, 2015. Pre order now and you will receive Avenged Sevenfold songs that will be playable in Guitar Hero TV mode.
