RAGE – PC
Rage has all of the elements present for a great FPS, but not much more. The designers seemed to be following a paint-by-numbers guide resulting in an entertaining, if not groundbreaking, game.
-
X Rebirth – PC
The idea of an all-immersive, free play space game sounds incredible. X Rebirth give players the choice to follow their own path, but sloppy execution forces no choice but to put down the controller. Bad controls, bad dialogue, and bitter disappointment are all we got.
-
Impire – PC
The only clever thing about Impire is its name. The environments in this game can be fun, but they’re hard to notice when you can’t even command your own troops effectively. Bad controls are enough to drag this game down. Play Dungeon Keeper instead.

Call of Juarez: Gunslinger – PC
On the surface, Call of Juarez: Gunslinger may not have many original ideas, but that’s part of the fun. It has just the right number of Western and FPS clichés without going overboard. The graphics could use some improvement, but you’ll barely notice as you navigate thrilling battles with expert controls.

Final Exam – PC
Final Exam could have benefited from a little more attention to detail in the controls and originality departments, but its main draw is the fun gameplay, especially for the low price tag. Try it out if you’re bored.

Sins of a Solar Empire – PC
Sins of a Solar Empire expertly has you balancing economics, politics, and rival factions in a effort to build your empire, but playing against the computer is far too easy. Engaging with other online players makes up for this, but be sure to allot 6-8 hours of time for it.

No More Room In Hell – PC
If the zombie apocalypse ever happens, it will be just like this game. Realism and attention to detail make this a truly frightening experience, but also a frustrating one. Dying within minutes is so commonplace it’s almost not worth trying.
-
Torchlight II – PC
If you like Torchlight or RPGs in general, you’ll love this game. EVerything from the battles system to the characters to the co-op is a seamlessly entertaining masterpiece.
-
Star Trek Online – PC
A Star Trek MMO seems like an ideal game. The mechanics, graphics, and space combat provide hours of entertainment for Star Trek fans and non-fans alike. It’s too bad that planetside combat couldn’t have gotten more attention.

Ranch Rush 2 – PC
I don’t remember exactly how I stumbled across this game, but I’m glad I did. Ranch Rush 2 is a frantic time management game where the player must perform specific tasks in a set period of time. Tasks are performed by clicking on the appropriate item, and many tasks can be queued by clicking on items in the correct order. Figuring out the most efficient way to carry out these actions is the real challenge.
