He has permanently secured himself a spot at the highest point in video game history, and when you go to purchase a Mario game, you know you’re getting top-shelf quality. Metroid II: Return of Samus was polarizing during its day and remains a point of contention. For instance I enjoy the many gameplay mechanics and complex layout, but I also find the limited graphics tiresome and dated. Good or bad? You’ll have to decide for yourself.
