Robot Tank – Atari 2600
There isn’t much you could call a first-person shooter on the Atari 2600, but with “Robot Tank,” Activision just manages to fill the criteria, with a game that stands up today better than most Atari fare.

The Walking Dead: Survival Instinct – Xbox 360
We all know that many licensed games are absolutely horrendous and The Walking Dead Survival Instinct is definitely no exception. Riddled with design flaws and bugs, Survival Instinct is one game so bad that you just have to see for yourself.

Condemned: Criminal Origins – PC
Condemned: Criminal Origins is a first-person shooter-horror game that encourages the “guns for show, pipe for pros” style of gameplay, with a heavy focus on melee combat over ranged gunplay. As the manhunt for a wanted serial killer takes a turn for the worse, you’ll ask yourself what drives someone to murder, and you’re going to learn the answer first-hand…whether you want to or not.

Halo 3 – Xbox 360
Halo 3 retains many of the same things that made the first two so great; flawless controls, stellar voice acting, and improved graphics. Unfortunately, the story falls short enough to drag the rest of the game with it. With a rushed plot and underused characters, Halo 3 has enough good qualities to be playable, but don’t expect an exciting conclusion.

Blake Stone: Aliens of Gold – PC
Blake Stone: Aliens of Gold is a first-person shooter built from the Wolfenstein 3D engine by JAM Productions and published by Apogee Software. It plays very much like its parent title with a few upgrades and a scenery shift, but does it hold up beyond the weight of nostalgia? Buy a candy bar and some ammo as we chase Dr. Goldfire through every single one of his hidden treasure rooms!

Fallout New Vegas: Ultimate Edition – PC
In my Fallout 3 review, I went over the history of the Fallout series. Well known for its sense of humor, well developed setting, and a variety of other touches, Fallout has a history. So… does New Vegas live up to the name?

Darkest of Days – PC
Some games promise more than they can deliver, which is certainly true with Darkest of Days. Promising freedom and realism while putting invisible walls around you and arming you with automatic weapons, its innovative high headcount character engine ends up being a casualty of bore…dom.

Wolfenstein: The New Order – PlayStation 4
Wolfenstein: The New Order is a gritty and harrowing tale of a world that could have been. Despite some flaws, that could leave a discerning player looking for more, it does an excellent job being exactly what one would expect from a Wolfenstein title; a solid FPS experience.

Fallout 3: Game of the Year Edition – PC
War. War never changes. Neither does my love for the massive, beautiful post-apocalypse sandwich that is the Fallout universe, and Fallout 3 in specific. High praise for an imperfect game is forthcoming.
