Paper Mario – Nintendo 64

If your answer was no, then I agree with you, yet somehow Intelligent Systems made it interesting with their release of Paper Mario.

Wolfenstein 3D – PC
For almost everyone outside of Germany, Wolfenstein 3D was an explosive introduction to what many of us would regard as the proper first-person shooter genre. Back then, all you needed was a few guns, a bunch of Nazis, and hidden rooms behind push-walls. But does this dusty relic still cut to the core like granddad’s serrated WWII combat knife? Get psyched.

Raptor: Call of the Shadows – PC
Raptor: Call of the Shadows is a scrolling shooter title that pits you up against countless enemy ships with only one goal in mind, to make as much cash blowing them to smithereens as possible. Its initial difficulty curve may be hard for newer players to grasp, but if you hold out and upgrade your weapons judiciously, you’ll likely find it an enjoyable game.

A birthplace for one of modern gaming’s icons, Uncharted is definitely an interesting product of our time. Does this treasure hunting, guns blazing experience hold up? Or is it as stale as Sir Francis Drake’s corpse?

Mario Hoops 3-on-3 – DS
For the Mario anniversary, I’ll be reviewing a basketball game. With my weird review choices, I can’t really say I should be surprised, and neither should you. The fact that Square Enix developed this game does make it a curiosity though…

Final Fantasy VIII – PlayStation
Final Fantasy VIII may not be the worst RPG ever, but it’s one of the most disappointing Final Fantasies. Good graphics and great music can’t save this game from a hackneyed story, annoying characters and a frustrating battle system. Skip it.
