Ever since getting my hands on Outer Wilds, the time-based space exploration game created by Mobius Digital, I have not been able to put it down. Presenting the player with mystery after mystery, Outer Wilds is like a giant puzzle box that has the audacity to ask you, the player, to solve its mystery, with little-to-no handholding whatsoever.
Rather than teaching you all of its tools from the get-go, as many adventure games are wont to do, Outer Wilds drops you directly into its world, letting you put the pieces together for yourself. I found this to be a very refreshing approach, as this stripped-back style drew me in even more than your average game. I was so inspired by this game that I couldn’t help but put a video together, just for you!
