Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Tops GameStop Post E3 Pre-Orders

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Tops GameStop Post E3 Pre-Orders

The glitz and glamor of E3 2019 is now in the rear view mirror and we’re already starting to see the ripples of impact within the industry.

GameStop released a list Wednesday, of the top ten titles that their customers are pre-ordering in the days following the event, and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has topped the list.

While Activision, the game’s publisher, opted to skip the annual industry gathering, that still hasn’t mitigated excitement for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare’s grittier portrayal of the franchise.

According to GameStop’s press release, the specialty retailer saw a 63% increase in pre-orders for games in the days following E3’s gaming info extravaganza.

Here is the complete list, along with their corresponding release dates:

  1. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (10-25-19)
  2. Pokemon Sword/Shield (11-15-19)
  3. Final Fantasy VII Remake (3-3-20)
  4. Cyberpunk 2077 (4-16-20)
  5. Borderlands 3 (9-13-19)
  6. Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening (Switch) (9-20-19)

  8. Gears 5 (9-6-19)
  9. Super Mario Maker 2 (6-28-19)
