The Rumors are True! Devil May Cry 5 Announced! – E3 2018

Believe what you’ve heard, Devil May Cry 5 is real and it is coming! Shown at the Microsoft E3 2018 conference, the newest installment in the hit action series by Capcom will be the first sequel the series has seen since 2008’s Devil May Cry 4.

Although the announcement trailer shown gave us a nice peak at what to expect, Capcom‘s official blog is chock full of even more details and answers to some of the most burning questions the trailer left us with.

According to the blog, Devil May Cry 5 will take place some years after the events of Devil May Cry 4 with demon hunter Nero, who now heads his own branch of the business with a new prosthetic arm. The blog seemed to suggest that said arm will be in some form swap-able to “unlock new badass combat abilities and devastating powers.”

The game will also feature three playable characters, including Nero, but we likely won’t be able to see them in action until this year’s Gamescom 2018, where Capcom promises they will be sharing more details.

Devil May Cry 5 comes to Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC in Spring 2019! And be sure to check out Nero in action in the announcement trailer below!
