EA Play: Respawn’s Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order Announced – E3 2018

EA Play: Respawn’s Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order Announced – E3 2018

Yesterday, speculation was stirred up by Vince Zampella from Respawn Entertainment, who tweeted about sharing some details about one of the company’s three upcoming projects at EA Play.

Although there wasn’t any gameplay or fancy CGI trailers to showcase, Mr. Zampella revealed some cryptic details as promised about one of the company’s projects, entitled Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. He confirmed that, from the title, the player would be playing as a Jedi. He also gave some details about the setting, that it would be taking place during the “dark times” when the “Jedi are being hunted,” specifically between Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith and Episode IV: A New Hope.

Unfortunately NerdBacon owner theWatchman‘s hopes of a Darth Vader simulator were dashed by a tweet following the announcement, which gave further details into the game’s genre and more clarification as to the Jedi it would be staring.

This new tidbit opens the door to even more speculation, as the “surviving Padawan” in question could be anyone from an Expanded Universe character brought into the new canon, a new original character, or even Caleb Dume, or as he’s also known, Kanan Jarrus, from the recently concluded TV series, Star Wars Rebels.

Take a look for yourself at what Mr. Zampella had to say about the game, below.
