Dragon Ball FighterZ To Go Super Saiyan In January!

Dragon Ball FighterZ To Go Super Saiyan In January!

One of the most pleasant surprises from E3 2017 is going to be out sooner rather than later!

Bandai Namco announced today that Dragon Ball FighterZ will be bursting into the U.S. on January 26th, 2018, for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One systems.

Dragon Ball FighterZ is a beautifully cell shaded 2D fighting game made by the same folks who regularly bring you such fighting gems as the Guilty Gear and BlazBlue series’.

In addition to the game’s release date, Bandai Namco also announced two new classic characters from the beloved animated series, Nappa and Captain Ginyu will be joining the Dragon Ball FighterZ roster.

That’s not all!

We also got word that a season pass will be offered, which will provide access to the 8 planned dlc characters that will eventually join the Dragon Ball FighterZ cast. Players who pre-order the game will get guaranteed access to the open beta, which will take place prior to the game’s launch in January.

We got a chance to get a little taste of Dragon Ball FighterZ at EVO 2017, and we can report that this game is definitely legit! It plays very fast and has a unique control setup that allows a lot of depth, yet is still within the grasp of the casual fan who may not be a hardcore fighting game fan. Visually, the game looks just like an episode of the anime, so of both fighting games and Dragon Ball Z will find something to love.

Are you excited about the chance to finally play a fantastic DBZ fighting game, when Dragon Ball FighterZ launches in January? Let us know in the comments section below!
