MLB ’15 The Show is Ready To Round the Bases
There may be 10 inches of snow on the ground outside my house in Des Moines, but that doesn’t mean that it’s too early to turn our attention to spring, and baseball.
Sony’s San Dieago Studio took to the PlayStation Blog today and unleashed a ton of new info on their upcoming MLB ’15 The Show today, which will be hitting PlayStation platforms next month.
2015 will mark the 10th anniversary of the last remaining annualized video game representation of the national past time and Sony is ready to mark the milestone with the MLB ’15 The Show 10th Anniversary Edition.
This limited edition is set to give players a ton of extras including:
- Exclusive MLB 15 The Show 10th Anniversary Wood Grain SteelBook and Exclusive Cover
- 12k in Stubs ($9.99 value)
- 15 Bonus Item packs ($15.00 value)
- All 30 MLB Team Dynamic Themes ($ 3.49 each retail)

Sony is also offering anyone who preorders MLB ’15 The Show a voucher for a free DualShock 4 skin for the baseball team of their choice from Skinit.
Members of the MLB ’15 The Show development team appeared on Twitch.tv today to show the first live gameplay demonstration of the upcoming game today.
Game Designer and Senior Community Specialist Ramone Russell acknowledged that the PlayStation 4 version of last year’s edition of the MLB series “laid the foundation” for where they want to take the series, and that MLB ’15 The Show will be “the next step”.
Some of the new features that Sony’s San Diego team are looking to include will be:
- A wider array of player skin tones
- An improved lighting system that takes into account time of day as well as seasons
- Directional hitting.
- Analog swinging with the timed hitting mode.
- Improvement to the player’s eyes.

MLB ’15 The Show will take the field on 03/31/2015 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PS Vita.
