Xenoblade Chronicles 3D set for April 10 release on New 3DS
by Cloud3514
Nintendo has released a trailer announcing that Xenoblade Chronicles 3D, the New 3DS version of Xenoblade Chronicles, will be released in North America on April 10. As it requires the New 3DS’s additional processing power, it will not be playable on the current 3DS models.
The New 3DS version of the game will include new features, including Streetpass functionality and compatibility with the GameStop exclusive Shulk Amiibo, as well as 3D visuals. Tapping the Shulk Amiibo to the touch screen earns the player points to use to buy content in the new in-game music player and model viewer.
The Wii version of Xenoblade Chronicles was originally not intended for release outside of Japan, but was released after demands from Operation Rainfall and GameStop opting to co-publish the game. Because of this, it was a GameStop exclusive. Xenoblade Chronicles 3D will not be exclusive to any retailer.
Xenoblade Chronicles 3D will also be released in PAL regions and Japan on April 2. In the meantime, check out the trailer below and check out our review of the Wii version of the game here.
