New Project CARS Trailer Might Make you Weep

New Project CARS Trailer Might Make you Weep

Slightly Mad Studios is nearing the finish line for the release of their racing opus; Project CARS.

The studio released an achingly beautiful trailer today, which shows off some of the dynamic weather effects that can be expected when the game launches.

Project CARS is unique because it has not been funded by a traditional publisher. Instead, the folks at Slightly Mad Studios have paid for the development through the donations of over 80,000 gamers worldwide.

The developers at Slightly Mad are including an as of yet undisclosed number of vehicles to tear up the over twenty locations in Project CARS; ranging from GT and super cars to even karts. The game will also feature 4 different game modes, including:

  • Solo
  • Career
  • Online
  • Community

Slightly Mad Studios is no stranger to the racing genre, having previously worked on titles like Need for Speed Shift and Need for Speed Shift 2 Unleashed.

Project CARS looks poised to give racing franchise kingpins Forza Motorsport and Gran Turismo a run for their money this year.

You can learn more about Project CARS by visiting their website here.

Project Cars is scheduled to release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows on March 17th. A Steam OS and even a Wii U version will follow up later in 2015.

Are you ready to get behind the wheel of Project CARS, or will you opt to wait and see what else is on the horizon? Rev up your opinions in the comment section below.
