The Insanity Of This Boss Fight Is Boundless – Scalebound – E3 2016

The Insanity Of This Boss Fight Is Boundless – Scalebound – E3 2016

Platinum Games has made an art form out of producing extremely stylized games with a penchant for outlandish, over-the-top action sequences and unbelievable boss battles.

So when the head of Platinum Games, Hideki Kamiya, strolled onto Microsoft’s E3 2016 press event to talk brag about the scope of the one of the boss battles in their upcoming fantasy action game, Scalebound, we crossed our arms and said “go ahead and impress us.”

This isn’t to say that we didn’t think that Scalebound would be lacking the panache needed to wow us, on the contrary, we had every reason to believe that they could do it. We just weren’t sure how they could top themselves.

After all, we did witness one of the most grandiose and outlandish battles in a game during Bayonetta 2’s opening act, when she battled against the sky-scraper sized Gomorrah.

But top it they did.

If you didn’t have an opportunity to witness the Scalebound demonstration during Monday’s Microsoft E3 2016 event, then please stop what you’re doing, take a few minutes out of your busy schedule, and prepare to be blown away by the most epic-sized spectacle of ridiculousness that I have ever witnessed in a game.

You may now return to whatever it was that you are doing.

Scalebound will be out on Xbox One and PC in 2017.
