Star Wars Battlefront Gameplay Revealed! – E3 2015

Star Wars Battlefront Gameplay Revealed! – E3 2015

Today’s EA’s E3 2015 press conference had a handful of exciting announcements including Mass Effect: Andromeda and Mirror’s Edge: Catalyst but probably the most exciting feature for me was Star Wars Battlefront.  At the end of their press conference EA showed off 5 minutes of battle gameplay and consider me blown away.

Footage from Star Wars Battlefront was taken completely with a Sony PlayStation 4 and it looks incredible! The battle shown today is a battle taking place on the iconic planet of Hoth. Immediately I was hit with nostalgia as the open few seconds took me back to the original Star Wars Battlefront. The beginning sequence is scarily reminiscent of the original game but with better graphics and new features. The battle switches between the Rebel and  Empire sides for the sake of showing off as much of the game as possible.

Some familiar features are returning from the original franchise including single player battles, controllable battle machines, and the ability to fight as iconic characters such as Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader. Single player battles are available as well as split screen multiplayer. The biggest innovation coming to the new game is the ability to play online with up to 40 players.

Star Wars Battlefront will be released on November 17, 2015 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.

Here’s gameplay for Star Wars Battlefront (Watch it! It’s epic!):
