Get Hit Hard With Some Off-Screen Footage Of Punch Planet – EVO 2017

Get Hit Hard With Some Off-Screen Footage Of Punch Planet – EVO 2017

title_banner_001

It wouldn’t be unreasonable to expect to see a few indie fighting games hoping to make their mark on attendees of EVO 2017, and believe me, there was a bounty of fighting game goodness all vying for our attention.

One game that stood out to me was Punch Planet, a sci-fi themed fighter from Sector K Games.

Punch Planet features a minimalist, yet striking art-style and wonderful animation, as well as really smooth gameplay system that centers around a robust parry system, as well as a double tap cancel, which allows you to cancel any move.

In this video from EVO 2017, yours truly, along with Jeff Duis from VG Spectrum, check out Punch Planet in action. We also have a chat with Lee, one of the game’s designers from Sector K Games.

Punch Planet has been green-lit by Steam, and should be hitting the platform later in 2017.
