Welcome to Nerdberry’s MUSIC @ NERD BACON. I know what you’re thinking… “What the hell is going on here?” Nerd Bacon is a site for anything and everything video games. But I’m going to follow The Cubist’s lead and run down a variety of different music articles. One in particular that I’ve been working on is “CRIMINALLY FORGOTTEN HAIR METAL ALBUMS.” In fact, some of these albums aren’t just forgotten, they were actually OVERLOOKED by fans and critics upon their release. But I’ve been a big fan of the hair metal scene for a long time now and while some view the genre as laughable, I view it as a strong piece of the puzzle in the varied world of hard rock, metal, and pop music.

While most of these music articles will be about hair metal, sleaze metal, and glam rock, I’m not ruling out any other genres or categories. I’m a big fan of all kinds of music. Everything from country music to bluegrass to thrash to rap to folk. I love it all and have a massive amount of respect for musicianship on all levels, regardless of my personal tastes.

So, I will be releasing a different music-related article every so often. Be sure to come back and come back often because there are no rules here. Anything goes. I’m sure most of you reading this have a minimal knowledge on the hair metal scene, but I think a lot of this music will surprise you as being good. And if you’re like I was 10 years ago, any enjoyment of the genre was strictly hidden under my grunge and 90s exterior. Enjoy!
